A managed educational service

Your child's school journey, expertly supported.

Feel on top of your child's education. Then get ahead of it.
For your child, expert tutoring in maths, English and science. For you, a managed educational service.

The Fourth House is the only tutoring service built around the parent as well as the child. We believe every child deserves a happy childhood, and school is a huge part of it.

Research proves that parental involvement with the right information delivered timely, matters more to a child's progress than which school they attend. We also believe parents deserve to enjoy those years too: calm, present, and free of the quiet worry that something is being missed. The families who benefit most from The Fourth House are the ones who did not wait for a problem. They came to us when things were fine, because they wanted them to stay that way. It begins with a single, free conversation.

“I think they are doing well, but I am not completely sure.”

“I want them to feel confident, not just get through it.”

“School does not give me enough information to know if we are truly on track.”

“I want someone I trust to quietly oversee all of this.”

“I want family time to feel calm again.”

“I do not want to get to the important years and realise we have missed something.”

If any of that sounds familiar, you are in the right place.

Three things exist in every child's education. One thing is missing.

The Child

At the centre of everything. Their strengths, their gaps, their confidence, their wellbeing. But without the right support around them, even the most capable child can quietly lose ground.

The School

Works hard and cares deeply, but it is a system. Broad, not individual. Thirty children to one teacher. Limited visibility into what is really happening for your child.

The Parent

Present, devoted, and carrying more of this than you should have to, without always having the full picture to act on.

Each of these exists. But nobody is holding all three together. Nobody is looking at the whole picture, tracking what matters, and making sure your child is always exactly where they need to be.

That is the gap. And it is entirely preventable.

We are the fourth element.

The Fourth House sits alongside your child, their school, and you. We provide the expert tutor, hold the overview, track what matters, communicate it, and make sure that as each year unfolds, nothing important slips through the gaps.

Expert tutoring in maths, English and science is at the heart of what we do. But it is only the beginning. Around every session sits a layer of careful planning, expert oversight, and clear communication with you that holds the whole picture together.

The Child

Seen as an individual. Their strengths, their gaps, their confidence and their wellbeing, all of it held and understood.

The Parent

Kept informed, reassured, and supported. An expert alongside you, helping you help your child at every stage.

The School

Their curriculum, their expectations, their reports, all feeding into a clear, continuously updated picture of where your child stands.

The Fourth House

The integrator. The quiet constant. The fourth element which holds it all together.

What it feels like to have The Fourth House alongside you.

You always know where your child stands. Not because you have had to chase anyone, but because the information comes to you, clearly and on time.

You feel connected to their school life in a way that is calm rather than anxious. Informed rather than uncertain. Involved without having to manage every detail yourself.

When something needs attention, it is caught early. So your child gets on with being a child, and you get on with being their parent.

It is expert support in maths, English and science at a fraction of the cost of private school. And in many ways more personal, more consistent, and more closely tailored to your child than any school could be.

Most of all, you feel genuinely in control of your child's school journey. Not because you are doing everything, but because the right people are, and they are keeping you right alongside them.

That is exactly what The Fourth House is for.

We do not wait for things to become difficult. We make sure they do not.

A child who feels genuinely supported does not just perform better. They enjoy school more. They are more willing to try, more settled when things are challenging, and more confident in who they are as a learner.

School will always have its demanding moments, and those moments matter. They are part of how children grow. Our role is to make sure that when those moments come, your child has the foundations to meet them well, and that you have the clarity to support them confidently.

The families who benefit most come to us before they need to. They are thoughtful, forward-thinking parents who understand that consistent, expert support from the beginning makes the whole school journey more effective for their child, and far calmer for everyone.

The families who come to us early tell us the same thing: they wish they had found us sooner.

Guided

For parents who want to feel genuinely informed and know exactly how to support their child.

Research consistently shows that an informed parent is the single most powerful driver of a child's educational outcomes, more powerful even than the quality of their school. Guided is built on that evidence.

Everything in Foundation, plus a monthly G.L.O.W. update on your portal covering your child's academic progress, confidence, motivation, and wellbeing, with a predicted GCSE grade, a clear on-track status, and specific guidance on what you can do to support them at home. A termly academic plan, analysis of school reports, and a termly conversation with your dedicated education manager, including advice ahead of parents evening.

Your child has a tutor who knows them deeply, and a team tracking their whole picture. You always know exactly where they stand, what is going well, what we are working on, and what you can do to help. Without having to ask.

A yearly roadmap built around your child's complete school calendar, covering every key date, transition, and milestone. Oversight of all their subjects, not just the one we tutor. Continuous tracking of their whole school journey, half termly check-ins, and direct liaison with their school when it matters.

What parents tell us.

“The Fourth House has provided our family with support that has genuinely changed things for both of my children, and has done so for several years now. That continuity has mattered enormously. They have seen my children through every stage and transition, from primary through to secondary, and have always known exactly what each moment required.

Although both of my children are dyslexic, they are completely different, and The Fourth House has developed them as individuals in ways that reflect that. For the first time, they look forward to their sessions and do not resist them. They always come away happy, and I often hear laughter, which tells me everything I need to know.

Beyond the academic support, they have been there for my children through the ups and downs of school life, and provided them each with a trusted person they can talk to. At every transition, every new school year, every moment of uncertainty, there has always been someone who knew my children well enough to guide us.

I feel less alone in all of this. And my children have thrived.”
